The creator of HAUS VON M, Ludi Wang hails from the Manchurian region of China, a place of magnificent landscapes. The colorful, earthy essence of her natural surroundings continue to inspire her while formative time in Japan opened her eyes to art and architecture, as well as exposed her to Westernized culture and its historically famous female icons.

Studies in International Politics, English and journalism—alongside a fashion design degree from The Parsons School of Design—provided a well-rounded foundation, giving her a cultural and sometimes political approach to fashion and its interpretation.

Drawn into the world of designing at a luxury distributor in Hong Kong, she dealt firsthand with labels like Giambattista Valli, Alexander McQueen, Prada and Oscar de la Renta, where she developed a growing appreciation for fine artistry and technique. Combining her luxury work with her business acumen and travel—the designer has been to over 40 countries—she formed her own line in New York with partners in Milan and Paris. Today, HAUS VON M designs for modern women who are constantly on the go and often travel around the globe.

Every collection is infused with a theme of balancing contrast, a yin and yang pairing strength and structure with romantic, feminine softness. Always creating for a generation of female leaders, the designer weaves social causes into her streetwear capsules, making impactful statements regarding gender stereotypes and female empowerment. Forever innovating with every garment, she pushes boundaries, seeks to make all voices heard through culturally inspired pieces, and crafts clothing she believes in.
